In this section, we present a variety of newsletters we created over the years, starting with our first newsletter, the Eastside Journal, which began in 1989. These early editions were produced using a typewriter, cutting, pasting, and photocopying. You’ll see a few of these newsletters, starting with the initial two-color editions featuring green, then switching to black and white during the S&L crisis to save money, and eventually moving back to two-color and finally full color.
These early Eastside Journal newsletters, with an initial distribution of about 1,500, offer a glimpse into our beginnings and the evolution of our publication efforts. Enjoy exploring these vintage newsletters.
